The festival is here: the town is changing, as it opens the gates of time and immerses itself in its history. The flags of the town and of the region of Tortosa unfold in a ceremonious procession, passing through the Romeu Gate, announ- cing the splendour of the past. The confraternities receive their banners and swear to protect the town. The women are given the stoles of the Order of the Axe in recognition of their bravery. Speeches, music and dance.

Opening speech at the Reials Col·legis de Tortosa
Presentation of banners and stoles to the neighbourhood representatives and women.
